I am trying to clean up an infected system. apparently got Opaserv and W95/Spaces. Tried installing McAfee 2004. PC crashes before finished cleaning. Totally removed it per McAfee support instructions (registry and all). Tried Panda online and Housecall. Again cleans some and then crashes. I get error 00:0028:FC(more numbers)FA every time it crashes. Can't find a reference anywhere on the net to identify the FC. Tried Bitdefender and it appeared to be in the IP Cache when it crashed (same error). PC is on a network with 2 others but they have Win98 and online virus scanners worked on them.
Any ideas???

If you can, scan the infected PC over the network. That is, using some other computer connected to the n/w. And, after u finish cleaning up, reinstall WinME, if you experience any problems.
