December 18, 2009 at 07:50:22
Specs: Windows 7

I tried to paste into the word processor and I goet the message."MICROSOFT WORKS WORD PROCESSOR HAS STOPPED WORKING " And then "A PROBLEM CAUSED THE PROGRAM TO STOP WORKING. WINDOWS WILL CLOSE THE PROGRAM AND SEARCH FOR THE PROBLEM."Then I get nothing except the same message.
Is there a way to uninstall the program and reionstall it?

Thanks for the quick response.
The name is Microsoft Works.

I tried to paste a text story. Not too long. Something I have done many times.

Those are updates, templates, etc. I saw no downloads for any versions of Works. Did I miss something?

What version of Works are you running Briarbrook?

You're posting in the WinME forum but you list your OS as Win7. This version of Open Office works with WinME...dump MS Works & give it a try:

If you have Win7, try this version:

I've have this problem too. But what does work, is after you copy what you want to paste, go to the edit in Microsoft Works then click Paste Special. In the Paste Special window click Unformatted text then click OK.

You betcha...it absolutely works...thank you...good for the short term but it does not address the cause of the actual problem or how to solve the problem. It tells how to work around the problem. If anyone knows how to SOLVE the problem, so that we can go back to simple copy, paste, print, that would be a great thing for those of us who can't simply drop a couple hundred on the Word program.
