Comment:

earlier i had win 98 loaded on my system, then from one magzine cd i loaded wmplayer7.1 on win 98 but it was giving illegal access error and was not running.

then i upgraded the operating system to win me. but still the wmplayer.exe gives the same error msgs.

when i try to run this program the rectangular panel shows without any menu or button or view area and then this error msgs pops up. I tried removing all multimedia components from window and then reinstalling them after some time hoping that by removing earlier files and then reinstalling them will remove the problem but it has not helped.

can any one of u pls help with some clue

thanks

It's a tricky one. I would say its worth trying to do a Windows Update now you have WinME installed on the machine. On the Windows Update site you can choose the latest version of media player (not sure what version but it's higher than 7.1 I think) and download the program which will self install. Reboot and see of the problem is still there. Just a thought, so let us know if this helps or you need more ideas.
