Here's the problem, just today, my IE (not 6.0, that's another story) keeps telling me that Iexplorer caused an error in WININET.DLL and subsequently closes. I've searched this site and get referred to the microsoft website. That's all fine and dandy, but since I'm now using Netscape as my browser, it crashes before I can see those articles. Any help would be appreciated...

Here's the problem, when I use F8 to get to get to the startup menu, command prompt only doesn't work. However, when WinMe loads, I can get to the prompt and delete those files.

Secondly, on my IE, there is only one box for autocomplete. It doesn't matter if it's checked or not, it still doesn't fix my error. I can't even log onto the internet with IE. I've even tried to download IE6, but I still get problems similar to other people. After uninstalling IE6, it still doesn't work (no big surprise). So, I pulled out my Office 2000 disc, like microsoft suggests, to reinstall IE, but that won't let me because it detects an updated version.

Would it be okay to delete the IE folder and all subfolders? Or would this cause more trouble than it's worth?

Many Thanks
