Sure you can Ryan. Just go to control panel, click the folder that says 'passwords', and click on change password. If you didn't have a password before, leave blank where it says 'old password' and type in your new password. click apply or ok, and DONE.

anyone could just cancel that I believe and still get into your computer and files. If you go to your bios there should be an option for a power-on password in there, then one would HAVE to get the password right to get into your computer (or just clear cmos.....) Good Luck
