the other day my computer got alot of spyware soo i tryed to get rid of it by using one of those free trail spyware removal programs but the program would only show me the problems and not fix them soo i deleted all my cookies threw the program and i deleted some browsers now when i start my computer it gets to the Windows ME screen and stays there i have no restore dates ive scanned my disk drive and it has no errors and i dont know what to do now.

try running adaware and spybot search & destroy in safe mode (make sure you get the updates and apply them first). what free sw did you try, these are free and fully fuctional as is hijackthis which works well but doesnt 'scan' your entire system as the others do, it works in a different way but can be helpful as well
