Comment:

I am trying to do windows updates and every time I go there it finds the same four updates and downloads and installs them. The installation histroy says that the installations were sucessful but yet every time I return to the Windows update page it finds them again. Any help would be appreciated.

I've never received that exact problem myself, so I can only recommend you visit the official Windows Update Support page.

Personally, I use BigFix. It's similar to Windows Update except that it doesn't have continual problems, plus it detects other security threats that Windows Update wouldn't have.

By the way, have you considered upgrading to a more recent operating system? Windows 2000 would work well on your machine, not to mention being inherently more stable and faster than Windows ME. With a few tweaks, it would fly!

Email me if you want more info,

James
