Comment: have a problem with windows update.didn't see it in the posts.sorry if i missed it.windows update says i need update 837009.i install it.am told it installed correctly.next time i scan,the same update is there.it is also listed in my install history several times because i keep installing it.anyone know why.i have no problems with any other updates.i have ie6 sp1 and outlook express 6.think the update is for outlook express.i also turn off virus protection and pop up blocker befor i install.thanks if you can help nanaS

That is the version that gets installed with the IE6 sp1 package if you do its default install. But the problem you are having is a very common one with that update. I have seen it on Windows XP also. Just ignore it and don't install it again.

Reply: (edit)evidently my comp doesn't know i have oe 6 sp1 installed.just for the heck of it,i tried to install that update manualy.got the message that sp1 had to beinstalled first.dont understand that or how to fix it. nanaS
