has anyone tried using Windows Update as of Feb 23? I am getting an error and I did notice that a seemingly important certificate expired TODAY. http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/0x800c0005.htm

This site posted soem fixes for this specific error I was getting. This is where I noticed the "GTE... certificate" did, in fact, expire today. Could this be the problem? Anyone know a work around. I use use HttpS then I can update but not http:

I have a dog named Prince Leopold

I didn't think Microsoft was still providing Windows Update support for ME. If they are, glad to hear it.

Yes,I believe they where going to stop support for Windows Me ,and then I read it will continue till June 0f 06? I could be wrong on date ,however for now ,they still list updates for this O/S ! My Pc shows a 1 minute critcial update download as being sucessful in my history 3 times, yet everytime I go back and scan for updates ,it list it again ? However my PC all messed up after nondistructive over the top reinstall of O/S attempt , so thats probably at the root of many install /uninstall problems ?
Good Luck Nick

I have a WinME/XP Pro dual boot system. After reading the above, I rebooted into WinME & ran Windows Update...no problem. I just installed a Critcal Update for Media Player 9
