I download many programs and games so I need my virus program. it use to come out fine but I downloaded a game and played it, it was running fine the first 5 min. but then it got too slow about 1 frame each 3 min. serouisly and I could'nt exit not even with ait+ctrl+delete so I just shut it down and when I started it thats when the problem started so I deleted my big game
(the 300 mb+ files) and the little volume icon doesnt either the one by the time.
Can soemone PLEASE help me I don"t know if its serouise but I think it is. I'm using the very same computer reight now.
Thank You.

First, try 'System restore'
Was the game from a Free Source?
Have you done a virus scan since this happened? If your McAfee doesnt work download the free AVG from Grisoft.com and run that.
Download and run 'spybot S&D' and 'ad-aware' to.

You could also set your trouble programs to not start up when windows starts. That should allow your anti-virus to load first then maybe you could tweak some settings in your anti-virus proggie to let these programs load without stopping them But then again, your software could have some sort of trojan that may be causing the problem. Do try the system restore that was mentioned in the other posts, but if the problem still persists there are many different anti-virus programs out there. Nortons Anti-Virus 2003 is an excellent program. Give it a shot.

I did the virus scan and no trojans were found and I tried to use system restore but my last restore point was too far back to restore, I tried checking the start up folder in start, programs but it was empty.
Maybe Tom Fleeman is right I should do the thing that may stop running the programs but I don't know how I nedd more specific explinations. Thank you everybody but nothing seems to work.

You could download the program "reg cleaner".Not only is it good for cleaning registry you can use startup on the program to remove entries from the registry that you don't want to start when windows does. It makes a backup of whatever you take out so you can easily restore it. In my opinion it's a lot easier than using msconfig.
