When I turn on my computer, I get my windows screen but with half the page taken up by Yahoo sign in page. Please advise how I can turn on my computer without being on the Internet (I have high speed cable). I understand how to change my 'home page' but in the past I always had to click on explorer before I was on the Internet. Now my computer seems to go on automatically. I must have clicked on some box by mistake. Thank you for your help.

yahoo sign in page? the little thing(log in dialogue box) you enter your user name and password into to connect to the internet? Open internet explorer:You can try tools/internet options/connections and make sure you have "always dial my default connection" checked rather than "dial whenever a network connection is not present"
