Encountered a problem on boot up reference to missing display.sys and problem with autoexec.bat. Used Me Boot disk and repaired registry but still will not load properly Opted to reinstall windows from CD programme gets 60% through then SUWIN general protection fault in module VerX.dll at 0002:24AE. Others have gone this way before so I am hoping there is a solution.
The problem is with the Windows explorer or the windows media player.If you upgraded either of these programs you will get this fault during re-installing Win ME. To fix IE rename iemigrat.dll and the outlook express file 9xmig.dll
