I have a problem, which is this:
I play Quake online all the time, and often, I'll try and quit from the game, and it won't exit. It will just sit there. It's a DOS program, doesn't take too many resources, and I've tweaked DOS settings and that's seemed to help the problem a little.
If I do End Task, Close, anything in which I tell Windows to close it, I ALWAYS get a "Windows Protection Error, System Halted" message on the Blue Screen of Death. And then I can't do anything but power off, then when I restart, I get all this s--- about "not shut down properly, always use the shutdown command, blah blah blah blah" sits there for 20 minutes scanning to find nothing.
Solutions, anyone? No, I'm not giving up Quake. Almost to giving up WinMe.
Thanks...

Can't say that I've had that problem, but I know I cannot play one game after the other and it doesnt matter what games they are without getting the BOD. If I restart between games I dont have the problem. I doubt that helps, just thought I'd share.
