windows power management changes video c

I a have an asus a7a266mb,asus 7700 gts video card and am running windows me.My problem is that whenever monitor or computer standby in power management kicks in it changes my clock settings on the video card.I am using asus's own tweaking tool for my settings.It changes both the core and memory settings.If any one could help me i would appreciate it greatly.
