Comment:
When I turn on Standby-Mode and move the mouse to let the PC "wake up" again, nothing happens. The monitor just stays off. Try turning the monitor off then on again doesnt help!!

Sounds more like a video card issue. There are a few cards that their drivers do not fully support ACPI power management. The Diamond Viper II is one of them.

Just right or left click and move the mouse and the system will wake up.

I have the same problem too, but if I move the mouse, click the buttons, or type on the keyboard nothing happens. I have tried any combination of buttons ex: ctrl, alt, del... alt, tab.... esc... nothing seems to work. This has only happened since I got WinME. Could someone please help!

Just got my new HP with ME installed and have been having way too many freeze up problems. Both calls to HP help resulted in them asking me if I was using the stand-by mode and they acknowledged they've been having problems with it. Perhaps a call to an HP rep. would give you the answer you need. As for my freeze-ups, I'm still waiting to get my system back from repair to get an answer. Good luck.
