Reply: (edit)You should close all programs and try it again. If that does no work, try running it through MS-DOS by shutting down and restarting in MS-DOS.. You can also access the DOS before Windows boot by tapping F8 when it says "Starting Windows", and then just pick "Command Prompt"

Reply: (edit)Unfortunately hitting F8 will not install CDROM drivers. You'll need those. I am curious as to what it is your trying to do? If your trying to install Windows using Windows there might be some problems there. the best way to do it is with a Windows Startup disk in DOS. Try this site: http://www.windowsreinstall.com/

Reply: (edit)the best bet is to copy winme to your drive if you have enough space put it in a new folder rename it winme then get a bootable disk win the A:\ is there type C: and press enter unless you copied it to another drive then X: = the drive you have winme file then type eg x:\winme\setup press enter it should work the only thing that it wont work is if you have a winme update cd you may also want to delete the whole windows directory first . haukke
