Comment: Windows ME will not allow me to use more than one usb device at a time. I have a usb adapter for my road runner modem and when I plug my digital camera or scanner into my usb hub I get "the blue screen of death" error message. I had a built in windows 98 2nd edition and I had no problems with my hub using more than one device. Although the built in windows had other problems which is why I got ME. Somebody please tell me what I should do? I don't want to have to unplug my modem everytime I want to use another usb device. Thank you

Reply: (edit) If you had a problem with win 98Se, it won't go away by upgrading to win.Me. what was your problem with 98se ? I have win.Me loaded on top of 98se and using hub is not a problem at all. by the way check device manager for any conflict.check if your scanner and dig.camera have win.Me compatiable drivers? if not upgrade it to latest drivers. hope this helps. bye

Reply: (edit)I agree with the above post... i would reload first windows 98 into a different subdirectory (that way you get everything clean without having to reformat) and then after that downgrade to windows ME.(or maybe not) Regards Miro
