How can I change my startup logo with windows me? I do not have logo.sys file. I have tried saving a bitmap (.bmp), then changing it to a .sys file. The original logo does not show anymore, but neither does the new one. can anybody help?
The start up splash is stashed somewhere else windowsME. it can no longer be found in the C drive named logo.sys. Not to worry! If you create a bitmap and rename it "logo.sys" and locate it on the c:drive windows will use it by default! http://www.cadvision.com/xrx/index.htm#Addbar this link will take you to a site where you can download a program that allows you to take any image, add the little animation/loading bar at the bottom and install it to the c:drive. You simply browse your picture folder select any size image add the bar and this program will resize it automatically for you! Good Luck! No need for back ups. if you ever want to go back to the original simply remove the logo.sys file from the c:drive
