I have Windows ME and it recently will only start in the safe mode. When started in the normal mode, it will get to the Windows ME screen and then shut down after about 15 seconds. I have reloaded Windows about 5 times, with no solution. I have run scandisk and defragged the HD. Still no help. I cannot find restore, so that option is out. I have done selective start ups but I am unaware of how to determine exactly where it is hanging up and how to resolve. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Ran bootlog.text. The last four lines were, Deviceinitsuccess = configmg Deviceinit = VCDFSD Deviceinitsuccess = VCDFSD Deviceinit = ios Is there any significance to the last line allowing only boot up in safe mode? If so, what do I do next. Thanks for the reply mortal angel.
