In WIN ME, when there's hard disk activity (computer writing, loading a program, copying something, cdrom reading) the computer drags(sputters) and the mouse and everthing stops and goes, pauses and the mouse pauses too, and i can't do other tasks at same time. In Win98 SE this happends too, but in Win 98 (1st) everything is okay. How can i fixe it ?? I've a Pentium 2 450 mhz, 128 Ram, Ge Force annihilator 256, Motherboard SE440BX, CDW Teac SCSI, CD 50x, HD seagate 6.4 gb.

Peter, I am experiencing problems that are similar to yours. Programs are slower and my mouse is driving me crazy since someone installed Windows Me on my computer. (I don't know much about computer mechanics; I do word processing at home for a living) If somebody helps you solve your problem, would you kindly let me know by e-mail?
