Windows ME Networking Problems

There are two computers, one running Windows ME and the other running OSX, both hooked up to a Belkin router. When the G5 is plugged into the router, the computer running ME is unable to get an internet connection. Also, the Windows ME machine is suffering from significant program errors when the G5 is connected to the router at the same time. Any ideas? Asking because a friend's father is convinced that the G5 machine is disrupting his machine over the network. Thanks.

svenvonpaulus, I found ME, as it came from the box, a pretty iffy OS. Forntunately, applying the suggestions found in 'Trev's Tweaks ...' made it into a sweetheart. Sounds like you have a duplicate address , check to see if they are both trying to use the same address , also both nic cards should be set as auto for speed and duplex . Verify both are using dhcp to pull the address from the router and not hardcoded with an address .
