When performing mouse events (browsing, launching programs, minimizing or whatever) which involve an associated sound such as those in a desktop theme, the mouse locks up and behaves erratically. If there is a longer sound, the wav file cuts in and out. Windows 98 or 95 NEVER did this. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem too.

did you get your windows ME factory installed or you did upgrade?... hunt for the drivers Regards Miro

I upgraded...sound driver could be the culprit...just like windows 2k, I guess it's time to play driver hunt. Thanks.
