Also note my # 6 there where I maintain you can often get away with just copying the vmm32.vxd file from another PC with the same OS. If you determine your file is actually missing I can dig out my old ME computer and email you a copy of the file.
When you get this issue fixed it is a good idea to make a backup of the Vmm32.vxd file - it will even fit on a floppy. That way you won't get caught out again. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
