Reply: (edit)Drag it to full screen, minimize it,right-click on it in the taskbar, select "close".Now open/launch it again... If that doesn't work, but it should,I'll give the foolproof method.

Reply: (edit)Ok,let's try this; Open Explorer, maximize it,open another instance of Explorer,(preferably a different folder),drag the second window to full screen, minimize it,and close the first instance/window you opened from the "x".Re-open/bring up the second instance/window you opened from the taskbar, and close it with the "x". Now try it...that work?

Reply: (edit)Not sure if this does it for window sizes, but try goung to Tools/Folder Options/View tab,and try/see if "Remember each folder's view settings" is checked, and click on the "Like Current Folder" button after maximizing the window you're in.Then try again, using the steps above if necessary. Let me/us know,I'm getting curious now. It'll probably end up being so simple...it'll be embarassing!!! LOL

Reply: (edit)Is bubs definitely closing the explorer window through File Menu / Close rather than clicking the X in the top right? The method above should work - explorer remembers your last opened window state. If you set it to maximised and DON'T want it to revert to previous saved states, carry out the following registry changes: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer, add or change the value named NoSaveSettings, changing its current data of (none) to 1 if checked, 0 if not. If there is no key called NoSaveSettings, make one. Remember to backup your registry before making any changes just to be sure. Mark
