Comment: I need help!! I rebooted my computer the other day and the monitor color will only get 16 colors. It says that the driver is out of date but this is a plug and play monitor from compaq and it worked fine the last time I did it. Also, I have tried to download the drivers directly off of the compaq website but when I try to restart the computer to finish the installation the following message appears: File Name: MVCore(01) + 0000814A Error: OE: 0028: C158B17A Like I said I have tried the reboot disk 3 times and it hasn't changed at all. What should I do?

Reply: (edit)Well that looks like there is a curruption with the instaltion if I had to guess, with out more info. Have you tried to intead of using the .exe file to use the device manger and locate the driver .inf flie, this might be a currution wiht the exe and not the actual drivers. Also this is windows Me, so if the driveres worked before the restart have you attempted system restore, it is likly that your drivers merly have become currupt.
