After I installed Windows ME, somehow it overwrote my video driver. Now, I can only use 16 color display. I tried to download a driver but a message says to install Daytona Windows 9x Driver Disk or browse c:\windows\options\install to install it. It's not there. It says file enuConfg.Irc not found. I need help! Microsoft can't help. What can I do?

first download the driver for your video card from the manufacturers site or use http://www.windrivers.com/company.htm -make a new folder and name it video or something-open the driver file in this folder-
then open display in control panel(or right click on desktop choose properties) click on settings - then click on advanced -then click on adapter - then click on change-check specify the location of the driver(advanced)-click next-check display a list of drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want-click next-click have disk-and browse to c:\video
or what you named the folder-windows should now show the driver you downloaded -click ok-then click ok again-restart when prompted. this should work, did for me. good luck and post again if it doesn't work.what kind of video card you have and I'll post a direct link to download the correct driver.

Thanks, but I tried that. I have Intel 740. Intel doesn't have a driver. Can you please help? Do I just have to live with this junk? I wish I would have known this before.

http://www2.driverguide.com/uploads/uploads6/8527.html driver for intel 740 listed here

(someone posted there it worked with daytona)

you could also -right click my computer choose properties -device manager- remove video card and let windows redetect it, something else to do is make sure your monitor driver is installed, so windows sees your monitor model Number etc.
