Comment: The last couple days every time I have tried to open a Paint file. I have gotten An error message saying "Windows cannot find 'C:\(file name and Location). You may have tpyed the name incorrectly in the run dialog, or another open file cannot find a system file. To search for a file. Click the Start button, and then search". I cannot think of anything that has been added or changed in the last couple days. Does anyone have an idea how to correct the problem?

Reply: (edit)It can't find any "bmp" files, or a certain one? Try start/search/files or folders/ in "files named box" type " *.bmp " (no quotes) this will search for all bmp files.

Reply: (edit)When does this error occur? Are you double clicking a .bmp file and getting an error? What about if you right click the .bmp file and choose EDIT does it open with paint? If you open paint then choose file/open then select a .bmp file does it open? Im trying to figure out if your having an error with paint or image preview or the search tool. Please include the entire error including the path and the steps you take when trying to open the bitmap file. Thanks

Reply: (edit)I am only getting the error message when Double clicking any .bmp file. Sometimes they open any way, most of the time they don't.
