Subject: Windows ME boot up sequenceOS: Windows MECPU/Ram: Pentium III, 128 M |
Comment: Windows ME boot problem: It is not really an error but a nuisance problem. when i boot up, it stops with a screen ful of info; copyright Intel... Del Dimension 4100, Bios Version A06, Processor info, keboard, mouse USb... Fixed disk.. ATAPI CD-Rom. The screen ends at the bottom with: "Press DEL to Resume. When I do , it goes thru the rest of the booting process, and then everything works fine. How do I bypass ( or automatically go thru the normal booting as it used to) this, so that I dont have to hit DEL everytimg I start the computer? Thanks for your help.

Reply: (edit)JohnB, Take a look at the lights on the back of the computer when you get the error message and make a note of what color and what order they are in. Go to http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/systems/dzuul/codemess.htm to see what the diagnosis is.

Reply: (edit) TO: "[KoRT] O d i n " and " bigjer" Thank you for your help. However, the problem cleared up by itself. How? I really dont know; this morning I was going to follow your advices, and when I turned on, it went right through booting without a hitch. The only thing I did wast to pull the computer out slightly so I could see the lights behind. It's really frustrating but no much I can do. Thanks anyway
