Comment:

Browser (IE6) freezes whenever I open a web page that contains flash.

I have: unintalled/reinstalled flash, checked browser security settings (low, back to medium), upgraded browser (IE 5.5-6.0, repaired browser, removed spyware, reinstalled video card drivers, checked for viruses, deleted temp files. yada yada and YADA.

Any more ideas?

It could be a lot of things but I would try the obvious first. It seems you did try the basics already.

Instead of the knee jerk no help answer you were supplied by the previous poster I would suggest trying the flash remover tool supplied by Macromedia.

Also try installing the latest Macromedia SHOCKWAVE FLASH PLAYER.

Whatever the problem is, it is almost surely not a browser issue. Flash is cross platform not just an IE6 program.

Although Firefox is a great browser and I use it it is not a cure all and is of no help to this posters problem.

hi osiris
I have a solution to your problem cos simply I had the same and its no joy, basically you don't have many options what you need to do is restoring registry to an earlier time when didn't have that problem,if you need help with that let me know.
