Windows could not update the file..

Hi all,

Everytime I dwnload windows update, i get this message: Windows is unable to update file from 2% to 1%

I read the advice on the forum to delete the wininit.exe file and copy from the install CD. I did that. Rebooted, installed the update, but same problem!

PS: I also DO NOT have a wininit.ini file.

You may need to enable "show hidden files" to see wininit but if you don't have it your OS wouldn't work!

note - if you do not have file extensions enabled, the file you are looking for is called wininit
