Hello I installed Web Root's Window Washer and must say it found a bunch of junk and after using the standard washing procedures my computer is much faster now. This is good but I'm wondering does it affect Windows ME System Restore capabilities?

Never used the program, but if it has ME listed as a supported OS, then it should do System Restore no harm. If it does harm SR they should not list ME as a supported OS.

Did you do any research on the program before installing it?

Thanks for the quick response Leroi. I researched on the net before purchasing the Window Washer and coulndt find anyhting wrong with basic installation and usage so I went ahead and purchased.
I got the blue screen of death a couple of times after installation and one time it said system resources low (if remember correctly). After doing research at the Burzerq and other "start up fixes" sites I found out my resources were only 34% and should be no lower than 75% so I got into msconfig and unchecked a bunch of stuff. I've only been able to bring it up to 54% but it has helped and made my system more responsive.
I havent seen that blue screen for about 3 days now.

Don't worry too much about resources, it is normal for them to fall gradually as the day progresses.

What percent free do you have immediately after booting up?

Some programs don't release resources and memory well when you close them, these are what I refer to as resource hogs; you can usually find more efficient replacements.

Does Window Washer run in the background at all times?

Have you read this page?:
