useful tips... if you use windows me. and cannot do a full system restore or it hangs when trying to do a restore have your two harddrive backup disks ready, if you don,t have them you can ring your technical support and order them. you might get them free... with the disks do this,,, insert recovery cd-1 and restart computer, on the first compaq logo screen that flashes up make sure caps and numlock keys are on and there lights are illuminated. when it loads into recovery ,a compaq quick restore screen will be flashing, exactly when it stops flashing press numlock key off. at the welcome to compaq quick restore screen,press the ctrl key and Q together when the screen pops up, click the exact operating system you are using and then let it restore itself...
