I dound out today that ME stup upgrade is not available in stores anymore. Supposedly Microsoft recalled it. It this true? If so, I am definitely not willing to pay $89 for the full upgrade.
you will spend much better your money if you will buy another 128 meg ram instead of windows ME regardless if "upgread" or full install Regards Miro

Or go to Pricewatch.com and find a business still selling it online.
Read up on Windows ME and make absolutely sure this is an upgrade you want to do. Seriously consider a clean install or we most likely will see you later.:)
The step up still exists as other have posted. ebay/target/amazon somewhere its still for sale, i know this because i can still buy atari 2600 catridges brand new in the box:) If you wish to upgrade to windowsME keep this in mind: if you have a full windows 95/98 cd get the upgrade. if you dont, buy the full version so that you can do a "clean install" if you have to. the step up only allows you to upgrade from windows 98SE . an extra 40$ now will save you alot of headaches down the road. i just realized newgirl already posted the clean install bit and i pretty much wasted a few keystrokes :) and MIRO try www.crucial.com the cost of the price of the step up will now get you 256 megs of ram :)hehe
