Hey, err a few days ago my hdd crashed (thanks to jFrOg, Jake, Miro and "yes" for help with that). Anyways, before re-installing I added 256 MB of RAM, taking the system up to 384 MB. The problem is, it is slower now than it used to be. It was seriously tweaked before, but it has never run this slowly. Any thoughts?

how do you know its up to 384? verfiy this with system properties or system information. possible it looks like its seated correctly into its slot when its not. Also you should be grounding yourself before touching the memory stick. that little electric shock from scooting across the carpet is enough to do some damage.
