Win Me Shutdown

CPU/Ram: celeron / 256mb

Windows me shuts down just before deskyop comes up on screen, it works ok in dos and safemode but will not work in normal mode.

I have tried another to os and these do the same winpro2000 and xp both do the same as above.

I am unable to scan for viruses as not on system as was busy changing the os to the original that came with the laptop(Advent 6417) because I has sold it.

all disk are original systems not copies.
