I am having a problem with Windows restarting during the installation of programs. I have been given this computer and need to bring it up to date so I have downloaded new Adobe's Spybot's, MSN, etc. However, the PC just restarts during the installation. It even happens with Windows updates. Sometimes I manage to install something on 2nd or 3rd attempt but this is getting really annoying.

I have run Spybot and the AVG viruscan and have run an online Panda scan but nothing is bveing picked up. I have deleted all temp internet files and run Hijackthis but nothing looks very suspicious.

Any ideas?

Overheating, weak power supply, bad RAM, improper drivers, corrupt system files - could be any one of those things, or something else...lol
