I installed Windows Me 2 days ago and I can't
get my OE to work. It loads but as soon as I
click on a message it freezes. I followed the
assisted help and tried all their solutions and it still does the same things. Anyone have any suggestions????
Thanks!! (Email me at samantha@gardener.com until I get it going!!)

You can try this, and it should fix your freeze ups, but may make you lose your current messages. In 98 I was able to do this successfully without any loss of data or settings. Go into your add/remove programs in your control panel, and click on Windows Setup. Find Outlook Express, and uncheck it. Hit apply, and if it makes you restart, do so. After it's done removing it, recheck OE and hit apply. It will reinstall OE and hopefully you should be operating normally. Again, be careful, this could very possibly cause you to lose all data currently stored in the program.

Well, I tried Method 1 and it worked for about 3 minutes and then it froze again. I could hear the processor working the whole time the OE was working. I don't know how to open the files for #2 and I'm afraid of #3.
Thanks so much for taking your time to try to help - I really appreciate it!!!

I installed Win ME on my system. With Win98, outlook express was working just fine. With ME, it does not even start. I get multiple DLL errors and a message stating that OE is not installed properly. I've uninstalled OE, reinstalled it, Uninstalled it then used OEregclean etc etc, nothing seems to solve the problem. Is there a bug in the OE that came with ME? I've been using Outlook 98 instead and that is working fine. I only need OE for use with my Microsoft Phone's answering machine capability. Go figure....MS + MS + MS = BS.

Help.
