Reply: (edit)Go to each one of the sites for the manufacturer of your pieces of hardware and download/install all drivers for Windows ME. You will need to know the model number of those pieces of hardware by the way. This should fix your problem. -me-

Reply: (edit)You have the drivers for your hardware and winme still won't let you have the sound? If you tried it from the disk and it did not work, did you also try it from device manager to update the driver there? Also with a sticky window problem after a reformat you might have to remove the problem device and let windows search for it again, with the device driver in cdrom so it can "search for the best driver for the device" and try and find it on its own. I had several problems with the sound card not getting found with win98 after a reformat and had to work like heck to solve them all, so I don't envy you, but I wish you luck.
