Subject: WinME Internet Cache Problems....
Comment:
Hello,
I have a computer with WinME and IE 5.5. Everytime I start IE it goes to msn.com from October 22, 2001. If I hit refresh it updates to the current date. I have tried deleting Temp, Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and I have even searched and deleted files created on 10/22....Any Ideas?Tried some other suggestions....nothing worked..??
Here is what I did:
upgraded to ie6.0
ran both deletes(index and cookie files)
ie set to update every time it went to a page....i even looked through the registry to see if I could find anything in the local machine\cache key, but nothing there either...any other ideas?
thanx!

You can tell IE what your default page should be , this can be done in the options sections . If you a specific page you want it to go to then input that as your default page . sounds like this just set some old cacheed file instaed of going to the site on the internet . You can even set it up for a blank page and then just go to whatever page you want . Just try updating the url in the homepage section in the internet options in IE.

Already tried that and it works, but I want to use msn.com as my home page but it always comes up with the Oct. 22 page.
