My Windows ME keeps freezing in normal mode but in safe mode does not. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

Cheers

mmm, there's enough information about your problem, maybe a software driver? hardware conflict?, tell more about (when it happens, what do you see, etc.) in order to help you.

Other questions are: have you ran a good Anti Virus scan, AD-Aware, Spybot.

And many other things you can check after reading about them in the many other posts on the same exact topic.

It's random things would be working fine then lockup no matter what program I am using. I have ran AVG and Norton AV through it no virus. I have ran Adware spycheck nothing found.

Do what it says in the homepage link on this response and the problem should be cured.

when did the problem start?....is it all the time or just a certain program it locks???

Can u recall when about this started occuring...have you ran Win System Restore?

GOTO Start-Programs-Accerssories & lauch Sys Restore...you can usually revert days, weeks, or even a month. Your data files will not be removed.

If your computer locks in normal bootup the problem can be a video driver(i.e. you may need updated video drivers...ATI, Nvidia,...etc.) When in safe mode your pc is using a standard vga video driver/basic driver.

Hope this helps...anyone.
