You have an internal conflict somewhere making your computer crash. It could be a conflict involving your video memory or a conflict between two programs in RAM. You have two choices that I know of:

1. Purchase Windows maintenance software like Norton Utilities, Ontrack's System Suite, or Mcaffee's Nuts and Bolts.

These software packages search for hardware and software conflicts.

2. Reinstall everything.

One of the most common reasons for conflict crashes is using the wrong video driver. make sure you know exactly the make and model of your video card and check to ensure that the video driver in Windows is exactly the right driver for it. If you don't have the correct driver, it could be sending impossible commands to your video card which might result in crashes.

I think I found it!!!
It hasn't happened to me for a few days now - which is the longest. I changed my hard disk controller to a Generic one... "Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller" It cured the Kernel32 problem.. Now after all my fafing about Updtray crashes.... anyone know what it is so i can pip point it? - Good luck dolly!

Problem sorted bin explorer use netscape!!!It doesn't crash then. Change your bookmarks with an internet utility off download.com and your'e off! I don't like it as much as EX but at least I'm working without the crashes.

i have Solved the UPDTRAY fault i think. It was my USB driver... I am testing it now. But I think that drivers have a big part to play in all this.. maybe when ME is released newer drivers will come out. If it dose crash though I think I'll go with Marks idea - scrap IE and use Netscaspe...

Usig Netscape instead of IE won't solve the problem. I use Netscape and also get every other day the kernel32.dll error. After that I can't close the window it keeps popping up. I can't even shut down my computer, the only solution is the power button.
I installed ME on top of 98 SE and to tell you the truth I Netscape would sometimes lock up even before the upgrade, but not as often as now.
