Comment: hi, i have two OS on my computer, Win ME and Win 2k, and i'am thinking about erasing win me. I was just wondering, can i play games like half life counter strike on win 2k, install any programs and etc.
What shall i do?
By the way, does anyone know how to erase win me? thanks.

Reply: (edit)format c: from a boot disk erases windows me. You will have to repair the 2k install after erasing windows me and i dont know if those games will play under 2k. YOu should post this question in the 2k forum also.

Reply: (edit)Wait!.. You do not have to erase all of your disk or partition C. You can run an eye over "c:\boot.ini" file and erase corresponding lines for WinME. This removes WinME option from boot menu. Additionaly, you should delete "c:\windows" folder. But be carefull about your data under this folder(like favorites, MSOutlook Xpress folder etc..) If u need, back-up them. Good luck...
