win me and display problems

My prolbem is this:after upgrading to win Me I get a blank screen,resulting in having to Hard reboot,then it safe mode my graphics drivers are not detected correctly.I have found no conflicts of any resources,Updtaed to latest drivers still the same. My system is a K6 450mhz/256Mb/Tnt pro 2 graphics based on the nvidia chipset and the system brd is a chaintech 5agm2(slow i known) but until now very stable-never had these problems with win98se Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

not all 98 drivers will work with ME so you may have find some new ones on the net. it sounds like your video card is one of these. download the latest drivers you can find. i'm using an old diamond viper 330 video card and it works brilliantly in ME.
