Recently i had win me crash and did not have a bootdisk so i hooked my old comp with win 95 to make one but while playing with my old comp i noticed how faster it was than my new one. My old one is a cyrix 180mhz 48meg ram 1.5 gig hard disk with win95 my new comp is P3 866 30 gig with 128 ram. I was shocked to see how much faster my old comp was i guess its win95 i am now convinced that win ME sucks. No dos onME etheir what are they thinking.

P.s. a win95 bootdisk will not work ME use 98up

I don't recommend you to use 95 if you don't like ME(like many others) use 98. Because 95 does not suport HD's larger then 2 gig. And your HD is 30 gig so you must partition it to 15 Drives.....

You need all the very latest drivers for Me. Then you tweak it a little by working through:

Stick another stick of ram in while your at it, it's cheap.

Hey!!! Windows 95 does support drives over 2 gigs! I dont know about the first one but Windows 95 OSR2 can go over 20 gigs I use it on a celeron 366 and win me on the same celeron and me is more stable and the net is faster. if you want to dual boot then you can install boath that way you have a choice. When you want 95 you boot 95 when you want ME you boot ME simple eh. Not really if you want a dual boot you need Boot Magic Or something like that. I will have Boot Magic or simular on my web site soon so check it out! www.oldos.b3.nu
