If I purchase the upgrade; is it possible to make me a backup copy with my burner? I am just curious; because I like to have a backup of my important software. In case of an emergency. Got stuck once after a disk got dropped and it cracked; so I had to buy a new one. :(
Any help is appreciated! THANKS!

Do you like ME? It is working properly for you? Can you accomplish all the things you want to do on your computer using ME. If all the anwers are YES, then ME. If not then XP. All the best!

I love loaded questions.

Which is Better a Yugo or a Porsche?

Me = Yugo

Porsche = XP

I'll let you figure the rest out.

Remember folks all he asked is which is better, not the pro's and con's. So I just asnwered the question.

KTTD

P.S Xp is better

they both suck. stick with an older platform. the older ones are more reliable and have had time to upgrade and fix little problems. windows me uses WAY too much memory from the system and XP still has tons of glitches.

IMO

"Better" is a subjective term.

Capt got it right.

I run ME as my main OS........it works pretty good.......you can crash it easier than Windows XP........but you can fix it easier than XP. All versions of Windows are riddled with security holes. If ME works ok on your machine.......stay with ME. XP is not going to give you anything but better up time. I have no intention of ever buying another Microsoft OS.......if I get to the point where I cant run ME......I will go to linux and dump all my software and start over and never go back to Windows.

Until Microsoft stops browser integration with Windows......it will never be secure. I dont see that happening anytime soon.

Im not a MS basher I have just had enough.

Buying Windows XP tells Microsoft Yes the idiot consumer is still willing to pay for our lousy insecure crap programming.

The biggest difference I've seen between the two is how slow XP seems to run compared to ME. A friend of mine has XP running on an identical computer to mine on which I run ME. I can run circles around him!
Yeah- it does seem that all Micro$oft O/S's have their problems. A lot (certainly not all!) of my ME woes went away when I got rid of the OEM copy that came with the machine and got a full version off of eBay.
Dustin and Capt have the right idea- if you can do what you want on ME, why jump into a new platform that hasn't been out long enough to resolve a lot of the glitches?
I say stick with ME- OR, like I'm doing, consider buying a Mac...

Any older model is better because it is more stable...but thats it, all the new resources are not on the older ones and people who are using Win95 get stuck looking like hippies protesting the war in Afganastan in the twenty first century(i mean everyone knows they're there and there wrong in what they are doing, but we just dont say anything)because ...........

Hi,
I'd stick with Win ME. I understand from others that XP can only be used on one computer. If installed on more than one it stops working if not registered! AND a lot of software is not compatible with XP.
PS HukedOnFonixWerx4Mee Question Why are you considering a Mac?? I'm curious--because I too am considering a Mac.
