My friend says keeping internet explorer as my default browser is best even though I surf with firefox because he says some things don't work if firefox is my default. Does anyone know what he means and\or is that true? I have the latest version of firefox and I have internet explorer 6 SP 1.

Yes, it's true in some cases. Some sites are written to be best viewed in IE. What you set your default browser to is purely a matter of personal preference. I prefer Firefox.
Life's more painless for the brainless.

I would just leave IE6 as the default, but that doesn't mean you have to use it. And there are other choices besides FireFox...Opera, Maxthon & SeaMonkey are a few more that will work with WinME. Do NOT install any toolbars (Yahoo, Google, etc).

I uninstalled the yahoo toolbar but don't know how to uninstall the egames tool bar. It's not listed in the add\remove list and there is no uninstall in the start menu programs list. I can turn on the toolbar but from there I couldn't figure out how to delete it. Also as a side note I always have to keep signing in if I turn off my browser even though I have the 'remember me' box checked.

As Jam said... Leave IE set as default. I dont have a real reason why.. just that with windows.. its best to leave as many things alone as possible. Its a nightmare to try to talk someone thru fixing a problem once they have "customized" everything.
Make a habit of using your Firefox shortcut when you want to browse the web.
Should i put a question here? :)
