Where's my data?

I have a new HP Pavilion. I installed my old hard drive as a slave so I could have access to all my old data. The drive was partitioned several times. When I go into MyComputer and Explore, the drives are there, but there is no data in them. Where did my data go, and how do I get it back? I am desperate. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Partitioned several times?? When did you do that?? Not before you installed it I hope??
Go into fdisk at a command prompt. Make sure that your new drive is the only one that has a primary bootable partition....the second drive can have a primary partition but not set as the bootable partition.
You can create an EBD and boot into dos..switch to the old HD and do a "DIR" search....if you do not see anything in there than I'm afrade that your data is gone.
If you had something critical on it download Tiramisu from the web and that would be your only hope in recovering that drive!!
