I've heard some pretty nasty things about Norton AntiVirus 2004, but both Norton 2003 and AVG Free Edition are pretty good.

have a good look at the Trend Micro Internet security 2004.
I think you will find it interesting.
I have used trend for almost 4 years now and never been bugged with PCCILLIN on my computer.
Norton 2004 internet security has also been proven very good to date. A massive improvement from 2003.
Good luck

I have been using McAfee VirusScan Online for about 5 years now and never had any problems with McAfee. Never had a virus on my machine that McAfee did not catch first. It's cheaper than Norton and I think works much better than the new version of Norton (2004). Norton is trying to do to much with its anti-virus programs. I know many who dumped Norton 2004 and went back to 2003 or McAfee. McAfee now has automatic updating, so you never have to go their site to get the updates. A very good value. Re-newing customers also get a break on the renewal price, at least I did.
There are free anti-virus programs you can download that I have heard work very good also.

The thing to keep in mind is that no matter which program you choose, it's useless unless you keep it up-to-date.
Personally I use AVG, but have heard good things about Avast. Both of these are free for home use, with free upgrades.
If you install McAffee or Norton you have to pay for asubscription service to keep the virus definitions current.
Best Luck, Bob
