I give up on Norton SystemWorks 2001 Optimization Wizard trying to set my Swap File. Could someone tell me what would be the correct Min/Max settings for Virtual Memory, or if I should just let Windows manage my swap files. I have 40G HD, 320 RAM, Win Me and need to be sure I have PLENTY of 'head-room' since Adobe PhotoShop, Quicken, Excel are my main apps. Thanks, Bruce

There is no 'over the counter' solution for the virtual memory settings. It all depends on how you use yer PC. Some suggest to let Windows manage it and some suggest to set a fixed swapfile but like I said it's very hard to give advice on that subject, you've got to experiment and find the best settings for yer system. I have 320 Megs of RAM as well and my swapfile is on D with min and max set at 800 Megs and it works great for my needs. Like mentioned above get Cacheman that's a very good App and also do a web search on www.google.com and type swapfile or virtual memory, there's tons of different views on that subject. TC -M@NNY
