Hi, I have a problem with my internet explorer. Whenever I try opening IE and put in a URL, it either tells me that "Internet Explorer could not open search page" or it says on the bottom of the window (above taskbar) "downloading from site:res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/DNSerror.htm" Also, any other programs that need the internet (i.e.: outlook express, messengers) can't be accessed either. Can anyone tell me what my problem is and how it can be fixed? Thanks

Sounds to me like you're not connecting to the internet. I would try seting up my internet service again. If that doesn't work. Then flush the DNS cache. To flush the DNS cache. Open "Control Panel" dbl click internet options, then under the "General" tab choose to delete files, a little dialoge box pops up and it says...Do you want to delete offline content. Put a check mark in the box, and click ok. You just flushed you DNS cache. To set up you internet service again. Go into "Internet options" again and this time click on the "connections" tab and click the setup button and proceed through the wizard.
Hope this helps
